Sometimes there’s just no photo that goes along with it, and I need to write.
Two days ago, I ran three laps in half an hour. Today, I was able to do four, slightly under the same time. Success! Progress. :)
While there is a tinge of sadness when I think about leaving - there are definitely a lot of people to miss, I’ve started daydreaming about all the things I’ll do once I get there and get settled. WORK, printmaking, graduate school, more writing, and - this just hitting me now - fencing. I’d love to go running but something tells me this would either involve signing up for an expensive gym or inhaling the smog of the urban jungle, neither of which is very enticing. Fencing, on the other hand, is something I’ve always wanted to take up, ever since college - with that solitary lesson with the strange senior fencer under a light post in the middle of the track. I’ve tried it once and I can’t say I didn’t love it. Of course, the possibility of a duel with C is a very welcome challenge.
Today is exactly a year away from our wedding.
