There was going to be a post on the joys of being able to appreciate good, substantial conversations with highly interesting and driven people, without forgetting to enjoy the simpler - and sometimes, sillier - things in life.  Balance does seem to be the key in living a full and satisfying life: to be smart without being stuck up, to use the mind without foregoing the heart, to take life seriously and be able to laugh at yourself other times.
But what really got me opening a new entry is the question that popped into my head upon reading someone else’s quandary on what to do with her life, “Is it okay that I find myself dedicated to the Philippines?”  It was a gut question, without much deliberation or censorship.  More thoughtfully put, it turns into a statement, and a content and thankful one at that.  I am quite done talking about my feelings for the country; I cannot wait to actually live it out.
